Wave Chasing

The past couple days, I’ve actually been thinking about simply sitting out earnings season going forward.  There is nothing more frustrating than watching a holding go south because the earnings of ANOTHER company sucked.  Seriously – not a single one of my holdings has had an earnings call yet, and they’re still getting pounded.

Jim Cramer just did a segment on not buying during earnings season – seems he’s run the numbers and things go badly more than they go well when you try to buy in during the 3 weeks after the end of the quarter.

I may be looking at taking off earnings seasons going forward – nothing wrong with taking more vacation time. :)
