Back on Monday!

An Open Letter to Bill Griffeth

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Dear Bill,

Forgive the familiarity, but we have been having lunch together for years now!

As many others have said, you will be greatly missed during your year off. You are easily one of my favorite anchors on air these days. You are the consummate gentleman while still asking the right questions and getting the answers that everyone needs. In this time of screamers, you are an oasis of calm.

Now, that being said – have a WONDERFUL year off! I hope you are able to do everything you want to do. But be warned – the time will fly by and if you’re not careful, you’ll sleep right through it.

Can’t wait to see you back on the air next year and hear of all your adventures, and thank you for so many years of excellent reporting.

S&P -0.04% – I suppose flat is better than straight down

Housing starts were the bugger today. Continued little whispers of “What if it’s not really all over”?

Yeah, I don’t like hearing it either.

On an unrelated note, how many CNBC viewers saw the Revolution Money segment and thought, “Hey! It’s Uncle Ted!!” (I suppose you’d have to be a Caps fan to understand.)

Dear CNBC…

I have your channel on most of the day. (With the exception of 11AM to noon, because SportsCenter is on and Larry Kudlow makes me grind my teeth.)

Great reporting, great people.

However, if I have to listen to Charlie Gasparino plug his damn book one more time, I think I will throw something at the TV set.

Please, get him to back off – by now, everyone knows that he has a book out.

I’m not dead!

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Really, not dead. Still trading and trying to recover from the economic shitstorm just like everyone else.

The WaveChasing port has gotten horribly out of date (life has been kinda insane of late) and I think rather than trying to get it all back up to date, I’ll instead just start it over with the new year.

In the meantime, I’ll be posting more, I promise.
