S&P -0.98% – Good riddance to January

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

I am now feeling absolutely awful about the year now. I know the January effect is more myth than reality, but I have this knot in the pit of my stomach when it comes to the markets this year. This country can’t handle Crash 2.0.

S&P -0.04% – I suppose flat is better than straight down

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Housing starts were the bugger today. Continued little whispers of “What if it’s not really all over”?

Yeah, I don’t like hearing it either.

On an unrelated note, how many CNBC viewers saw the Revolution Money segment and thought, “Hey! It’s Uncle Ted!!” (I suppose you’d have to be a Caps fan to understand.)

Dear CNBC…

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

I have your channel on most of the day. (With the exception of 11AM to noon, because SportsCenter is on and Larry Kudlow makes me grind my teeth.)

Great reporting, great people.

However, if I have to listen to Charlie Gasparino plug his damn book one more time, I think I will throw something at the TV set.

Please, get him to back off – by now, everyone knows that he has a book out.
